LIFE ECOREST

Captura de pantalla 2025-04-27 a las 11.23.46.png

The LIFE ECOREST is developing an educational programme to raise awareness among school children about the importance of deep sea habitats. In this first stage, the programme is aimed at middle and upper primary school pupils and lower secondary school pupils. It includes a training guide for teachers and students, as well as activities, games and other educational resources.

Classrom activities are complemented by visits to fishermen’s guilds that actively participate in the restoration of key organisms such as corals, gorgonians, sponges and bryozoans. The programme is promoted by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, in coordination with project partners.
